NEW PHASE-TRANSITION TYPE SPIN CROSSOVER TRIAZOLE IRON COMPLEX

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new accumulative type metal complex developing a spin crossover phenomenon.

SOLUTION: The triazole iron complex is represented by general formula (A) [wherein X is a triazole ligand represented by formula (B) (wherein R1, R2and R3are each independently a hydrogen atom or a 1-20C alkyl group or alkoxy group); Y-is an anion (e.g. ClO4-) constituting a salt of iron (II) which is soluble in a polar solvent].
