PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion gate which can be smoothly opened/closed by suppressing the deformation of a gate body caused by opening and closing operations of the gate by the use of a simple constitution. SOLUTION: This expansion gate is equipped with a gate body 1 and front and rear guide members 2 and 3. The gate body is made horizontally expandable/contractible by connecting a door-end side lattice frame 6, a door-tail side lattice frame 7 and a plurality of intermediate lattice frames 8 to one another by means of a link 9. The lattice frame 6 which has front and rear sash bars 4 and 5 is positioned on the door-end side, the lattice frame 7 which has the front and rear sash bars 4 and 5 is positioned on the door-tail side, and the plurality of lattice frames 8 are positioned between both the lattice frames. In the front guide member 2, one end is fixed to the lattice frame 6; the other end is arranged toward the lattice frame 7, and the front side surface of the other end is in a position to abut on the rear side surface of the front sash bar 4 of the lattice frame 7. In the rear guide member 3, one end is fixed to the lattice frame 6, the other end is arranged toward the lattice frame 7, and the rear side surface of the other end is in a position to abut on the front side surface of the rear sash bar 5 of the lattice frame 8.
