PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a four-directional switching device with which it is possible to retain an operation body so as to be pushed in the four directions easily, and with which a four-directional push switch is provided, and with which a space in a plan view can be utilized effectively. SOLUTION: This device is provided with the drive body 2 in which the operation body 3 is rotatably retained by a second shaft part 2c taking a prescribed one straight line in the plane direction of the operation body 3 as the center of rotation and which is covered by the operation body 3, and which is rotatably retained by a first shaft part 2b at a case 1 taking one straight line as the center of rotation in the perpendicular direction against the prescribed straight line, with a pair of hollow protruded parts 6b which, opposed to the drive body 2, push a slider 7 by an operation of the drive body 2 in the rotation direction accompanied with the operation of the operation body 3 by a slider push part 2e of the drive body 2 and which are operated, and with the other pair of the hollow protruded part 6b which, opposed to the operation body 3, push the slider 7 by the operation of the operation body 3 in the rotation direction accompanied with the operation of the operation body 3 by a slider push part 3d of the operation body 3 and which are operated.
