PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crime prevention system which is inexpensively and easily constructed by utilizing an apparatus of a hot-water supply machine inevitably installed in a home. SOLUTION: The crime prevention system 1 utilizing a hot-water supply machine 10 installed in the home and remote controllers 20 and 20a in rooms is provided with an abnormality detection part 35 provided in a management device 30 of the hot-water supply machine 10 and sensors 11 and 12 arranged so as to detect objects approaching the outside of the home, and the abnormality detection part 35 is configured so as to emit an alarm signal when sensing an approach by sensors 11 and 12, and remote controllers 20 and 20a emit a warning tone when receiving the alarm signal.
