The component has a metal base body (6) at least partly clad with plastic (K) whose hollow volume forms a flow channel (8) for a flowing medium and in which at least one flow control device (12) is integrated for controlling the rate of flow of the flowing medium. The metal base body has several flow openings formed for medium inlet and outlet arranged laterally, centrally, on the top or on the bottom.
