<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell of a small sized simple structure, in which fluids such as reaction gas can be supplied smoothly and uniformly along the inside face of a separator, enabling to obtain superior power generating performance. <P>SOLUTION: A power generating cell 12 is provided with an electrolyte membrane/electrode structural body 14, and a first and a second metal separators 16, 18. On the face 16a of the first metal separator 16, a plurality of embossed parts 42 are installed protruding toward the electrode 28 on the cathode side.
