PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating method of rendering a solid residual pesticide after use containing an organic halogen compound harmless, wherein an organic halogen compound is effectively rendered harmless, usage of the solvent and treating time are reduced as much as possible, and environmental load is reduced. SOLUTION: The treating method of the solid residual pesticide after use to render the solid residual pesticide after use containing the organic halogen compound harmless, comprises a dehalogenation process to dispose the residual pesticide after use by the solvent and an alkali metal without solvent extraction.
