PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a further small-sized and inexpensive ultrasonic flowmeter capable of performing a precise measurement of a flow rate by efficiently propagating ultrasonic vibration into a fluid in a minor bore pipe. SOLUTION: This ultrasonic flowmeter comprises two ultrasonic receivers 10 and 16. The ultrasonic receivers 10 and 16 comprise cylindrical transmitting bodies 1 and 12 fixed to a measuring pipe 6 so as to surround the measuring pipe 6 in which the fluid of the measuring object is carried, and perforated disk-like ultrasonic transducers 2 and 13 arranged to surround the measuring pipe 6 with a space from the circumferential surface of the measuring pipe 6. The transmitting body 1 has axial end surfaces 8a and 8b extending vertically to the axial direction of the measuring pipe 6, and the axial end surface 7 of the ultrasonic transducer 2 is fixed to the axial end surface 8b of the transmitting body 1. A voltage is applied between the axial end surfaces 8a and 8b of the ultrasonic transducer 2 to extend and contract the ultrasonic transducer 2 in the axial direction.
