PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly discharge a fluidic excavation object and a relatively small excavation object, without blocking up an opening part by crushing to a proper size, even when the excavation object is a relatively large, particularly, flat mass, in a screw conveyor having a casing, a screw provided with a screw blade rotatably arranged in the casing, a driving machine for rotating the screw, and the opening part for discharging excavation earth carried by the screw. SOLUTION: Only a rotary shaft 32b is arranged in the vicinity of a discharge opening part 35 without arranging the screw blade 33 on a rotary shaft 32. A crusher 40 composed of a plurality of plate-like crushing blades 42 radially arranged in the longitudinal direction, is installed in a part of this rotary shaft.
