PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that a stepladder itself easily slides on a floor surface due to small friction between a cover for a leg and the floor surface, and only a bottom surface is worn off since the stepladder and the whole body weight of a worker climbing on the stepladder are applied to the bottom surface of the cover for the leg. SOLUTION: This cover 1 for the leg is used by being fitted to and inserted into the leg of the stepladder, and constituted in a cylindrical shape by sewing up mutual ends of a side surface sheet 2 of superposing one or more cloths. A belt-like folding-back sheet 5 is sewn up to the edge of one end of the cylindrical side surface sheet 2. While internally inserting a rubber thread or the like tied in a ring shape between the folding-back sheet 5 and the side surface sheet 2, the folding-back sheet 5 is sewn up by folding back inside the side surface sheet 2. A substantially rectangular bottom surface sheet 7 is sewn up to the edge of the other end of the cylindrical side surface sheet 2. Restriction members 8, 9a and 9b such as a plurality of rubber are spot-welded to the inside and outside of the bottom surface sheet 7 and the inner periphery of the folding-back sheet 5.
