PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lining composition showing less evaporated amount of formaldehyde from the cured lining film, excellent in secondary adhesion and suitably used as a base material-protecting and repairing lining material of various concrete, woods, steels, FRP-molded materials, etc. SOLUTION: This lining composition is obtained by mixing (B) 0.1-20 pts. wt. isocyanate compound with (A) 100 pts. wt. resin composition consisting of (a) 5-80 wt.% thermosetting prepolymer and/or thermoplastic resin and (b) 95-20 wt.% compound expressed by general formula (I) [wherein, R<SP>1</SP>is a 1-12C alkylene, or an oxa-alkylene group consisting of at least 2 alkylene chains bonded by at least 1 oxygen atom, wherein each of the alkylene groups has at least 2 Cs, and having in total 4-12 C; and R<SP>2</SP>is H or methyl].
