PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a fishing line hardly get entangled without obstructing rotation operation of a drag knob by the change member of a change mechanism in a spinning reel for fishing equipped with the change mechanism for instantly changing damping force of a drag mechanism. SOLUTION: A recessed part 12c is formed inside an operation part 12b protrusively formed in the diameter direction at the front part of the adjustment member 12 of the drag mechanism 10 and the braking state of a spool 5 set by the drag mechanism 10 is changed from a strongly braking state to a weakly braking state by the movement operation of the change member 51 stored in the recessed part.
