PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transferring device capable of efficiently transferring loads. SOLUTION: In this transferring device, at the time of receiving loads, at least one of gap sensors 11 and 12, for example, one arm member 10 corresponding to the gap sensor 12 when the gap is not detected at the front part in a projecting direction of the arm member 10 by the gap sensor 12 is separated from the other arm member 9 within an allowable error range D, so that the gap between a pair of the arm members 9 and 10 is enlarged.
