DIGITAL CONTENT USE RIGHT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

There is provided a digital content management system for deciding a use-enabled/disabled state of digital content according to the position where a user desires to use a digital content. The digital content use right management system includes: a digital content server device (1) for storing an encrypted digital content; a license server device (2) for creating license data (4) containing the use-enabled position of the digital content and a decryption key for decrypting the digital content and transmitting it; and a client device (3) for receiving the digital content from the digital content server device (1), receiving the license data (4) from the license server (2), and deciding whether to decrypt the digital content by using the decryption key contained in the license data (4) according to the use condition defined by the use condition. The client device (3) has current position identification means for acquiring the current position and license data processing means for correlating the current position identified by the current position identification means with the use-enabled position contained in the license data (4) and deciding whether to decrypt the digital content.
