<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst carrying electrode, an MEA, and a fuel cell, which are superior in the initial cell voltage and durability. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the catalyst carrying electrode in which a mixture of the electrocatalyst A in which insides of the pores of the conductive carrier are filled with the electrolyte polymer, and the electrocatalyst B in which insides of the pores of the conductive carrier are not filled with the electrolyte polymer, is made an electrocatalyst. Since the insides of the pores are also filled with the electrolyte polymer, three-phase interface of the electrocatalysts, reactant gases, and the electrolyte polymer is formed also in the insides of the pores, thereby activity of the catalyst is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
