<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable developing device in which a developer is prevented from scattering outside the developing device even in the case where the developing device in which a developer is preset at the time of shipment from a factory is packed together with the main body of the image forming apparatus, and to provide a processing cartridge, a device unit, and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device includes: a developer storage part 54Y storing the developer; a toner supply part 58Y which is connected to a toner conveyance part 43Y set in the main body of the image forming apparatus and communicating with the developer storage part 54Y via an opening 78Y.
