<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device capable of accurately controlling an engine air fuel ratio and O<SB>2</SB>storage amount of an upstream side catalyst and having a bypass catalyst system capable of adjusting bypass gas amount. <P>SOLUTION: In the exhaust emission control device having the bypass catalyst system capable of adjusting the amount of bypass gas, an air fuel ratio control means corrects a detection value of an upstream side air fuel ratio detection means, based on the amount of the bypass gas, the detection value of the upstream side air fuel ratio detection means provided in the upstream side of the upstream side catalyst and a detection value of a downstream side air fuel ratio detection means provided in the downstream side, and controls the air fuel ratio inside cylinders of an internal combustion engine, based on the corrected detection value of the upstream side air fuel ratio detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
