<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic stringed instrument having a means for preventing error sounding due to noise caused by body vibration or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic stringed instrument does not instruct sounding start when a determining means determines that vibration is caused by vibration due to the other string on the basis of a difference between a time detecting increase of an amplitude level of string vibration to a prescribed string and a time detecting increase of the amplitude level of the string vibration to the other string with a string vibration detection means.
