<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small program timer with good operationality to control various types of instruments based on input timer preset information. <P>SOLUTION: The program timer comprises a LAN interface 12 which communicates with external to obtain timer preset information, a memory 16 which memorizes the input timer preset information, a CPU 10 which outputs control signals at a predetermined time and date according to the timer preset information, and an infrared transmitting part 14 which sends the specified operation signals to the specified instrument based on the control signals.
