PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system capable of outputting various voice guides. SOLUTION: This on-vehicle navigation system is provided with an input part 1 operated by a user and an arithmetic processing part 4. After the arithmetic processing part 4 acquires a recommended route from a starting place to the destination, the arithmetic processing part 4 controls a voice guide for a predetermined guidance generating place according to the acquired recommendation route. The on-vehicle navigation system is further provided with an outputting part 5 for outputting a guidance voice under the control of the arithmetic processing section 4. Here, whenever the input part 1 is operated, the arithmetic processing section 4 outputs the detailed or auxiliary voice guide for an optional place in the acquired recommended route from the outputting part 5.
