PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of a header tank of a high pressure-resistant heat exchanger applying a carbon dioxide as a cooling medium. SOLUTION: This header tank comprises a first plane part 11A having a plurality of first embossed parts 21 on specific positions and a second plane part 11B having a plurality of second embossed parts 22 on the same specific positions as a header tank body 11 of an integrated structure composed of a single plate material, and the plurality of first embossed parts 21 and the plurality of second embossed parts 22 are faced to each other and joined to form refrigerant flow channels 13, 16 in spaces partitioned by the first embossed parts 21 and the second embossed parts 22.
