PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display which gives satisfactory display quality and to provide its manufacturing method, wherein the liquid crystal display is used for a display part and the like of electronic equipment. SOLUTION: Substrates 2 and 4 which have a structure P1 having height Hp1 and a structure P2 having height Hp2 and wherein the height Hp1 and the height Hp2 satisfy the relation of 0.3 (μm)≤Hp1-Hp2≤1.0 (μm) are formed, a liquid crystal dropping quantity V is adjusted so that a cell gap G1 determined by the liquid crystal dropping quantity V, the height Hp1 and the height Hp2 satisfy the relation of Hp2<G1<Hp1, the adjusted liquid crystal dropping quantity V of a liquid crystal 6 is dropped on one of the substrates 2 and 4, the substrates 2 and 4 are stuck to each other in a vacuum state and then the vacuum state is returned to an atmospheric state to inject the liquid crystal between the substrates 2 and 4.
