PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform automatic playing, to decide the priority orders of erasing of recorded contents and to reevaluate pieces for finding a liking piece by reasonably and precisely evaluating the liking of a user by a plurality of levels and properly selecting liking or not-liking contents. SOLUTION: When a control part 10 reads and plays contents in an HDD 8 by the operation of a human interface 6 by the user and skip to the next piece is performed by skip operation in the middle of playing by the user who has viewed the read contents, the control part 10 measures the temporal difference between a time of starting playing and a time of skip, and a CPU 2 generates an evaluation value showing the degree of liking and not-liking of the user to the reproduced contents on the basis of this temporal difference. By registering the evaluation value in connection with the reproduced contents, liking information is prepared, and liking or not-liking contents are selected on the basis of the liking information.
