PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic mode management method and system for wireless portable electronic equipment. SOLUTION: In the automatic mode management method and system for the wireless portable electronic equipment, if wireless portable electronic equipment enters a specific place/area, the wireless portable electronic equipment is automatically set to operate in a specific status corresponding to the specific place/area. The automatic mode management system includes a global positioning system (GPS) to immediately provide dynamic geographical coordinates, includes an electronic map wherein specific places/areas are divided into groups, and includes a mode table to define a status operating mode in the case that the wireless portable electronic equipment enters the specific place/area. Thus, the wireless portable electronic equipment receives immediate dynamic geographical coordinates as occasion demands, and collates the immediate dynamic geographical coordinates with the electronic map to obtain a group where the apparatus is located, so that the wireless portable electronic equipment operates in the corresponding status operating mode based on the group.
