PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute operations corresponding to a plurality of actions such as taking a moving picture in addition to taking a still picture, using one button, with hardly causing a malfunction due to this. SOLUTION: The imaging device has a plurality of modes including a still picture photographing mode for taking a still picture and comprises a means 201 for selecting a mode among the plurality of modes, an operating switch 203 having at least three switch points which perform on-off operations one after another according to a push-down operation, and a means 202 for changing the switch point at which the operation switch is effective according to the selected mode by the selecting means 201.
