PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic system with a fixing device in which a temperature detection means can be moved by a simple system without providing a special drive source, and high image quality and low running costs are ensured. SOLUTION: The movable temperature detection means is set in a printing area. Before the wear of a heat roller by the temperature detection means is exhibited as the result of printing, a moving means, which is simple, moves the temperature detection means in the axial direction of the heat roller.
