PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas sampling device constituted so as to prevent the buckling of a grinding/cleaning shaft or the stop or damage, by a fire of a grinding/cleaning head rotary drive means to stably perform grinding/cleaning operation. SOLUTION: A grinding/cleaning head 12 is moved linearly by a grinding/cleaning head 12 feed device 15 using a control device 16 and rotated by a grinding/cleaning head 12 rotary drive device 14 to peel an adherend. In this case, the grinding/cleaning head feed force of a grinding/cleaning feeder 15 and the grinding/cleaning head rotary torque of the grinding/cleaning head rotary device 14 are controlled. Especially, in the control of the rotary torque of the grinding/cleaning head, the control device 16 functions so that the grinding/cleaning head 12 is made to retreat for a definite period of time by the grinding/cleaning head feeder 15, before making it advance again by the grinding/cleaning head feeder 15.
