PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument panel reinforcement which does not cause disconnection or break of a wire harness even when cross beams are formed by overlapping. SOLUTION: A hollow cross beam 2 is welded by overlapping half-split members 20, 22, 26, 28 divided along the axis direction. Furthermore, when overlapping the half-split members 20, 22, 26, 28, the cross beam is formed by bending the edges 22a, 22b on one side toward the hollow inner side, and superimposing the edges on the other side over the outside of the edges 22a, 22b on one side.
