PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire to reduce tire failures caused by air entering and staying in a carcass layer from the tire inner side. SOLUTION: In the pneumatic tire, a carcass layer 4 extends to side wall parts 2 and bead parts 3 on both sides from a tread part 1, and both ends thereof are locked to a bead core 6. A gas permeation layer 8 is arranged between the carcass layer 4 and an inner liner 7, and the gas permeation layer 8 is communicated with an outer surface of the tire or a part in a vicinity of the outer surface of the tire.
