<p>The lock to secure the tuning screws of a percussion drum, to stretch the drum skin, is a plate for use with quadrilateral or polygonal tuning screws. The plate has a hole which matches the screw head through its material characteristics, and has a flat side against the ring skin stretcher. The gap between the hole and the laying sides is at least 5 mm with a maximum of 15 mm, and the diameter of the hole is at least 3 mm and a maximum of 7 mm with a preferred diameter of 5.5 mm. The plate thickness is at least 1 mm with a maximum of 6 mm and a preferred thickness of 3 mm.</p> |
