PNEUMATIC TIRE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A pneumatic tire in which a belt layer is formed by using multiple sheets of strip pieces without producing overlaps between the strip pieces and a method of manufacturing the pneumatic tire. In the method of manufacturing the pneumatic tire having the belt layer formed of the multiple sheets of strip pieces formed by orderly drawing multiple pieces of steel cords and coating them with a rubber, where the width of the strip pieces is (A), the quantity of the blocks of the strip pieces is (N), the cord angle of the belt layer relative to a tire circumferential direction is (theta), and the circumferential length of the belt layer is (L), an integer which fulfill the requirement of (N + 1) x A/sin theta > L > N x A/sin theta is selected, and the strip pieces having the blocks of (N) in quantity are arranged on a molding drum at equal intervals in the circumferential direction of the tire to form the belt layer.
