<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and precise imaging apparatus capable of controlling light in a flash. <P>SOLUTION: Immediately before regular photography, logarithmic compression processing is made to a photoelectric current corresponding to the intensity of light from a subject successively generated in a division cell C0 of a photometry sensor 20 at a prescribed interval by a logarithmic compression circuit 22a during the preliminary light emission of the flash for converting to voltage, and the voltage level is output to a first control section 10 as an analog photometry signal LMOUT. The first control section 10 A/D-converts the analog photometry signal LMOUT to be successively input, and generates digital data regarding a BV value for indicating the luminance of the subject under flash light for storing in a RAM. Then, at the first control section 10, digital calculation including the integral calculation of the BV value obtained under natural light and the flash light is made, thus calculating subject distance for determining the quantity of emitted light of the flash in the regular photography. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
