<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball with excellent flying performance and novel design on the surface of the ball. <P>SOLUTION: The golf ball has a large number of projections whose plane shape is circular or non-circular on the spherical surface. The upper end face of each projection has a fixed curvature, and coincides with a virtual spherical surface covering the spherical surface.
