PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor laser source which can prevent excessive increase of power consumption and ensures longer operation life of semiconductor laser. SOLUTION: The semiconductor laser source comprises a plurality of semiconductor lasers, a drive current source for respectively supplying drive currents to semiconductor lasers, a temperature detecting circuit respectively detecting heat temperatures of semiconductor lasers, an electronic temperature control circuit for controlling temperature of semiconductor lasers to the predetermined temperature ranges on the basis of the detection result of temperature detecting circuit, and a control means for limiting the drive current of the drive current source of the semiconductor lasers in which amount of heat generated has exceeded the specified value.
