HIGHLY SHRINKABLE CORE-SHEATH TYPE ACRYLIC CONJUGATE FIBER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core-sheath type acrylic conjugate fiber having high stretchability while retaining good dyeability and touch feeling which are characteristics of an acrylic fiber and retaining strength and elongation of single yarn which are basic characteristics of fiber. SOLUTION: The core-sheath type acrylic conjugate fiber has a core part composed of a polyurethane polymer and a sheath part composed of an acrylic polymer. In the conjugate fiber, the core-sheath ratio of the core part to the sheath part is (10:90) to (90:10) based on the fiber cross section ratio and the strength of single fiber is≥1.5 cN/dtex and≤5.5 cN/dtex and the elongation modulus is 50 to 150%.
