PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper quality improving agent for internal use, effective for increasing the bulkiness of a pulp sheet and causing little lowering of strength and rigidity. SOLUTION: The paper quality improving agent for internal use contains an emulsion of a self-emulsifiable polymer comprising a polyester polymer having a hydrating segment.
