PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile hub which has high productivity and has excellent fatigue strength, and to provide its production method. SOLUTION: The automobile hub is composed of carbon steel having a composition comprising, by mass, 0.7 to 1.1% C, 1.0 to 1.7% Si,≤0.5% Mn, 0.0005 to 0.015% B and 0.0015 to 0.015% N, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and having a steel structure consisting of ferrite, cementite and graphite, and in which the graphite has a mean particle diameter of≤5μm, and also, the content of C precipitated as graphite particles having a particle diameter of≤10μm is≥1 mass% to the total C content.
