PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality artificial calcium phosphate-based crystal which has a crystal plane, and a preparation method whereby such the artificial calcium phosphate-based crystal can be easily prepared. SOLUTION: The artificial calcium phosphate-based crystal has at least one crystal plane chosen from the group consisting of planes ä100}, ä001}, ä101}, ä110}, ä111}, ä211}, ä221}, ä130}, ä331}, ä241} and ä142}.
