PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the rotation of a frame for inhibiting swinging of a rope in a rope-type elevator. SOLUTION: When a pair of rod-like frames 8, 8 are mounted and fixed to a mounting member 7 having a main rope 3 moving up and down with a suspended balance weight 2 interposed between them, a flange part 8c in a polygonal shape is formed in the end part of the frame 8, and a stopper part 71 provided in the mounting member 7 is engaged with one side of the polygonal shape, thereby inhibiting the rotation of the frame 8.
