PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a driving roller from slipping even if a binder intrudes between the inner circumference of a belt and the outer circumference of the driving roller in a belt-type applicator which forms strands of glass fiber. SOLUTION: The inner circumference 12 of the belt 11 to be mounted in the applicator is roughened by applying polishing processing, surface texture processing, blasting processing, or the like, to the inner circumference 12 of the belt 11, and consequently, the inner circumference 12 of the belt 11 comes in firm contact with the outer circumference of the roller in the applicator so that the binder may be held in the concave parts of the inner circumference 12.
