PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability by achieving stable gripping suitable for a fishing operation. SOLUTION: The subject reel seat is constituted by forming a slip-preventing region 15 softer than the hardness of a fixed hood 12 on which the palm and the fingers in a prescribed gripping state are put, and which has a shape enabling a part of the fingers to be put on the surface of the hood in another gripping state.
