<p>The present invention relates to a method for mass production of secondary metabolites in plant cell culture, more specifically, to a method for production of secondary metabolites comprising the step of culturing plant cells in a medium treated with alkanoic acid or salt thereof. The present invention can contribute to the commercial production of useful secondary metabolites by providing a method for mass production of secondary metabolites from plant cells.</p>
