CONTROL DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine equipped with a generator which recovers electric power by a rotor rotated with a suction vacuum pressure, capable of simultaneously satisfying a request for power generation and a request for suction air quantity of an engine.

SOLUTION: This control device for the internal combustion engine comprises: a rotor 4 provided in a suction passage 2; a generator 4a connected to the rotor 4 and generating power by rotation of the rotor 4; a bypass passage 3 for flowing air through bypassing of the generator 4a; a required intake air amount calculating device 9 for calculating the required intake air amount based on operating states of a bypass valve 6 disposed in the bypass passage 3 and the engine 8; a device 10 for detecting rotational speed of the rotor 4; a suction air throttling device 7 disposed at an area except the bypass passage 3 in the intake passage 2; a device 16 for detecting the required electric load of the engine and a controller 9 for controlling the opening degrees of the bypass valve 6 and the suction air throttling device 7 and the quantity of generated power of the generator, based on the required amount of intake air and the required electric load.
