摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue regeneration of a filter member while securely restricting delay of regeneration requiring timing at the time of failure of an exhaust particulate quantity detecting means. <P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with the exhaust particulate quantity detecting means to detect quantity of exhaust particulates caught by the filter member, a manual regeneration switch to start regeneration of the filter member, a regeneration requiring means to require manual regeneration when the quantity of exhaust particulates becomes more than first prescribed quantity, a regeneration means to regenerate the filter member when the manual regeneration switch is operated when a vehicle is stopped, and an exhaust particulate quantity estimating means to estimate quantity of exhaust particulates caught by the filter member based on driving states of an engine. The regeneration requiring means changes the threshold value for requiring manual regeneration into second prescribed quantity that is less than the first prescribed quantity by prescribed quantity when the exhaust particulate quantity detecting means is failed. The regeneration means performs regeneration of the filter member based on the exhaust particulate quantity estimating means instead of the exhaust particulate quantity detecting means when the exhaust particulate quantity detecting means is failed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
