PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive exposure apparatus for image forming which can improve production efficiency per unit time (reduce the tact time) in exposure process, and to provide a method for correcting misalignment of an image caused in image portions formed by exposure by respective exposure heads in accordance with temperature change in the exposure apparatus. SOLUTION: The apparatus is characterized in that a plurality of exposure heads 10 each comprising optical members 16, 20 for exposure having a means 14 to selectively turn on/off a plurality of pixels and attached to an exposure head base 12, are arranged in a staggered state with the optical members 16, 20 for exposure adjacent to each other.
