PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that the running characteristics of a vehicle in turning vary depending on tire conditions. SOLUTION: According to a method for suppressing the movement in a rolling direction arising in the vehicle in its turning, a rolling angle of the vehicle is calculated based on lateral acceleration and centrifugal acceleration in the first-half processing steps (S10 to S14). In the next processing step, the air pressure of each wheel is inputted (S16). In the next processing step, a reference rolling angle is corrected based on the air pressure in each wheel (S18). In the next step, it is determined whether or not to suppress movement in the rolling direction based on the rolling angle of the vehicle and on the reference rolling angle (S20). Since the reference rolling angle is corrected based on the air pressure of each wheel, the vehicle can keep pace with changes in the running characteristics, making it possible to enhance the running stability of the vehicle in turning.
