PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide paste used for applying decoration such as gold decoration to the surface of a silver clay sintered compact. SOLUTION: The paste for decorating a silver clay sintered compact has a composition comprising: a 70 to 95% gold-silver powdery mixture composed of 5 to 10% Ag powder having a mean particle diameter of 0.5 to 1.5μm and 90 to 95% Au powder having a mean particle diameter of 0.8 to 2.0μm; a 3 to 21% organic binder; 0.3 to 3.0% monohydric alcohol; 0.04 to 2% glycerol; 0.2 to 1% liquid paraffin; and the balance water.
