摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic flowmeter capable of highly accurate measurement by reducing a measurement error caused by resonant vibration of receiving ultrasonic vibrators. SOLUTION: In this ultrasonic flowmeter, transmission/reception of an ultrasonic wave is performed, and the flow rate of a fluid moving along a passage is measured based on the propagation time difference between both directions of the ultrasonic wave. The flowmeter is equipped with a pair of ultrasonic vibrators 1, 2 functioning as a transmitter and a receiver of the ultrasonic wave respectively and arranged so as to form a propagation route of the ultrasonic wave in the fluid passage, a transmission part 51 for driving the transmitting ultrasonic vibrator functioning as the transmitter between the pair of ultrasonic vibrators, and a reception part 6 for adjusting the amplitude of a received signal by the ultrasonic wave received by the receiving ultrasonic vibrator functioning as the receiver between the pair of ultrasonic vibrators. The transmission part 51 drives the receiving ultrasonic vibrator at a different timing from the timing when the transmitting ultrasonic vibrator is driven for measuring the flow rate.
