PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyurethane resin emulsion preventing migration of a polyurethane resin when producing a leather-like sheet and capable of obtaining soft touch feeling, because the resin emulsion is excellent in wetting property to a fiber material substrate. SOLUTION: The water-based polyurethane resin emulsion comprises, essentially, (A) a polyurethane resin containing a carboxylate group and/or sulfonate group in an amount of 0.01-1.5 wt.% based on the weight of the polyurethane resin, (B) a nonionic surfactant having a cloud point of 50-100°C and (C) a water-soluble inorganic salt and the resin emulsion has 1-50°contact angle (θ) on a polyester film at 25°C. The material for leather-like sheets is obtained by applying the emulsion to a substrate for fiber material and coagulating the emulsion by heating. The leather-like sheet is obtained by further carrying out post processing treatment of the material for leather-like sheets. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
