PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To streamline data management by reducing an average overhead time. SOLUTION: A storage device 1 comprises a data-readable/writable storage disk in a disk storage part 11, a data-readable/writable nonvolatile memory in a nonvolatile memory part 12, and a data transfer control part 15 for managing each physical storage area of the storage disk and nonvolatile memory as a single logical storage area and accessing either or both of the storage disk and the nonvolatile memory in response to an external access request.
